Midsummer Cruise to Norrsund

Join us for a summer journey through history aboard S/S Blidösund – the steamship born from determination and local pride. In the early 1900s, the residents of Blidö had grown tired of the poor service from Waxholmsbolaget and decided to take matters into their own hands. With raised funds and a newly formed shipping company, they launched their own vessel in 1911: Blidösund.

Today, S/S Blidösund is a living cultural heritage and one of Sweden’s last coal-fired passenger steamships still in regular service. When you step aboard and set course for Blidösundet, you’re not just cruising through the archipelago – you’re traveling through a piece of Swedish history, shaped by courage, community, and initiative.
